Making art is the opposite of checking my phone every minute.  I don't set out to produce an image that looks like something in particular - it is in the process that I discover the result. I move from representation to abstraction and sometimes back again.  My work is mostly in acrylic paint on canvas.

I am indebted to a few wonderful teachers through the years and places designed to encourage creativity - Eliot School of Fine Art in Jamaica Plain, MA; the New Art Center in Newton, MA; the Fine Arts Work Center in Providenicetown, MA; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.
