As an artist, mother and physician, my work is inspired by the interplay of all these roles.   I make art to slow down.  It is the opposite of checking my iPhone every minute.  I don't set out to produce an image that looks like something in my mind - it is in the process that I want to be - working out a problem or answering a question.  I move from representation to abstraction and sometimes back again.  I work mostly in acrylic paint on canvas.  The texture and flexibility of paint satisfies an urge.   I hope you like my work - contact me with any questions or thoughts.
